Measure of Academic Proficiency and Progress (MAPP) / Academic Profile Test (APT)

Missouri S&T undergraduate students who have completed 45-75 credit hours are scheduled to take a general education test—the Measure of Academic Proficiency & Progress (MAPP) test, provided by Educational Testing Service (ETS). The MAPP test is an integrated test of general education skills. It assesses four core skill areas—reading, critical thinking, writing, and mathematics—in the context of humanities, social sciences and natural sciences covered in general education courses. The MAPP test is the successor of the Academic Profile Test (APT) since Fall 2006.

The following tables provide Missouri S&T’s means and standard deviations of scores for the semesters the students were tested, and the reference group’s mean and standard deviation of the institutional scores. Missouri S&T is assigned to the reference group of Doctoral/Research Universities by ETS.
