Major Field Tests (MFT)

The MFT assesses mastery of concepts, principles and knowledge expected of students who have completed a specific program of study. The test evaluates students’ abilities to analyze and solve problems, understand relationships and interpret materials from the major field of study.  More information regarding MFT can be found at ETS.

Missouri S&T seniors who are NOT majoring in engineering are scheduled to take the MFT test before being approved for graduation.  Students MUST register online for the exam due to limited space. Click here to register onlineRegistration deadline is October 6, 2008. Approximately 2.5 hours should be allotted for the test.
